GPS Guidelines and Charging Instructions

Expected guidelines and charging instructions for GPS Equipment are listed below. Failure to comply is considered a violation and will be reported to your Supervising Officer.

• I understand I will be monitored by a non removable ankle bracelet. I will be required to wear the device 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I understand my locations will be monitored, as well as charging times/durations and any tampering of the equipment.

• I understand I must call my Supervising Officer regarding any changes in my home/school address or any other pertinent personal information.

• I understand ProntoTrak cannot approve changes to my schedule. I must contact my Supervising Officer directly for special circumstances regarding my schedule in advance.

• I understand I must remain in my home zone or other approved zone as directed by my Supervising Officer. If I do not, my Supervising Officer will be notified automatically and immediately.

• I understand if maintenance is required on my GPS device, I will make the appropriate arrangements to report within 24 hours.

• I understand that intentional damage of the electronic monitoring equipment may result in additional criminal/civil charges.

• I understand that any attempt to remove the device, failure to charge as instructed, or interfering with its ability to transmit information is considered a violation of the terms of my agreement.

• If applicable, I understand I am not to enter areas defined as “exclusion zones”.

• Unless otherwise directed, I understand I must charge my GPS device for at least 30 consecutive minutes 2 times per day, and my Supervising Officer will be notified if I do not charge as instructed.

• I understand if the GPS device vibrates, I must charge immediately for no less than 2.5 hours.

• I understand I am not to charge the device while around liquid of any type and am aware the only appropriate bathing method is showering. I understand I am not to swim or submerge the device.

• I understand I am not to charge the device while sleeping or use an extension cord for charging.
• I understand I am not to charge the device while operating a motor vehicle.

• I understand I will be required to report in person for physical inspection of the device in the event a dead battery occurs within 24 hours.

• I acknowledge receipt of the below equipment and understand I must return all equipment when my monitoring period is complete. Failure to return any equipment and/or damaged equipment will result in the following charges:

I hereby authorize, permit, and/or allow ProntoTrak, at its sole discretion and at any time, to release, disclose, and/or disseminate all information in its possession regarding my location, the length of time I spend at any location, and/or my whereabouts to any employee, representative, official, and/or designee of any town, city, municipal, county, state, local, federal, and/or national law enforcement agency or administrative agency for the purpose of locating me at any given time and/or place while ProntoTrak monitors me pursuant to this agreement. I hereby knowingly, consciously, and voluntarily waive any right I may possess to keep this information from the above-listed persons and/or entities. I further acknowledge and agree my consent to the release, disclosure, and/or dissemination of this information is entirely voluntary and without any coercion, duress, threats, and/or undue influence by ProntoTrak or any of its employees, representatives, and/or designees.
